Its snow! Everywhere!!

It’s snow around me, rolling me with my knees like a snowball. Still, I couldn’t resist looking at the peak and hoping that sunlight will clear up the sky. A Minute, hope blew in the air like a white star-shaped leaf. People around rushing one resting camp to another and people lining grouping up with their team. I wish I could see and feel the early sun rays but get layered in snow’s joy the snowstorm. It was upsetting and surprising at the same moment. Because I have seen the snowstorm in only movies, and news.

A loud and furious wind with the painful snow pushing you back and making you fall in the snow trapped ground. Closing with the coldness-filled white smooth crystals,…

Scary?! No, in reality, it was calm. In that roaring snowfall, all I could sense is incredible beauty and a voice of silence. Sometimes it’s ok if the plan doesn’t go as planned. Because some adventure worth it to override the calendar.

But at this moment, I did realize that going back also kind of fun. Walking in the frozen forest like snow deer jumping inside the snow, making angel wings, and sliding over the caked paths. We are almost lost there because our paths were closed and every side looked the same. Oops, no one worried about this and we keeping sliding down in joy. A long way we climbed, because I was able to recollect how hard I struggled to climb up in that small path and yes, I did it. This fight and hustle made me feel stronger and healing my open scars which haunting me every night the insecurity. Each step pushing myself forward against my mind showed how brave I am to dare my fear! , Now, overwhelming in happy tears after making it to the top. Such an incredible experience.

Kedarkantha Base camp

After so much playing, we reached our base camp where our tents were filled with the snow like Igloo house. We were instructed to climb down Sankri on the same day right after lunch because of the snowfall. It’s almost evening when reached Sankri and grabbed all the luggage to get the seat on the bus to Dehradun.

Landed in Banglore, after living the journey of discomfort, I took a deep breath because I can wear my normal clothes, can drink water whenever I want, and make myself more comfortable in my bean bag. This made me realized that how respectful I am for every small thing and how important the promises, love in life.

The first snow is like first love

When I was seeing the Kedarkantha clips on youtube, I get recommendations of Mount Everest and k2 all other snow-mountain trekking. But now I realized the hardest part of this trekking. Kedarkantha (3,800 m) which broke me in and out, drained all of my energy. Now I am wondering what inspires people to trek Mount Everest(8,849 m) by risking their lives and spending many years preparing for that. But I know people say that “Mountain’s talk. Once we hear the voice, we want the whispers forever in our hearts”. Let me hear my answers from the mountains,…
